The Huami Amazfit Bip has a square or boxy design which shares some resemblance to the Apple smartwatch. It looks beautiful compared to the other wearable in the same segment. On the right side, there is a metal button which is to wake up the watch and also helps in interacting with the interface.
The heart rate monitor is on the back, recessed enough that it doesn't feel uncomfortable. Talking about comfort, the Bip only weighs around 30 grams and combined with comfortable Silicon straps; it just feels natural on the wrist.

Also, it is IP68 certified Dust and Water-resistant, which means it can go underwater up to 5m for 30 minutes. Overall, the Amazfit Bip is a sturdy and lightweight wearable which looks not only great but also available in many colours to choose from the one which suits your style.
Display Build
The Huami Amazfit Bip comes with a square-shaped display, unlike the Stratos which has a circular screen. It is a 1.28-inch (reflective colour LED) touch screen which has a resolution of 176x176 pixels. The screen is surrounded by big bezels evaluation to around 70% screen-to-body ratio. Also, the screen is protected by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3, which also makes it look more premium.
Talking about the screen quality, it has surprisingly sunlight visibility which means you can use it on a sunny day without struggling. It comes with 5 brightness levels just like the Stratos and even around level 4, the screen is bright enough for outdoors. The display also has an Always-On feature which means you can always take a quick look at the time. Although to unlock the display, you need to press the button on the right. When the button is press, the white backlight glows making the screen easily readable.
This screen responds to touch smoothly and accepts a couple of gestures like Swipe Up, Down, Right, Left etc. Also, you can interact with the screen underwater making it easy to use during the shower. Overall, it's a good display for the price with better than average viewing angles and legit sunlight visibility.

The Amazfit Bip runs on its OS similar to Amazfit Stratos. App store on the watch is not available; hence, you can't download the apps on it. However, the OS comes with enough features so you won't feel like that you are missing something. Also, the UI is easy to navigate all you need is a couple of swipes and taps. The Bip comes with a GPS as well, which is used to track the Distance while Cycling, Running etc. We found it entirely accurate during the period when I used it for morning walks. The watch does show the shape of the Route you travelled, however, to see the complete Route, you need the smartphone app. It also collects and displays data as Distance travelled, the total time taken, avg. Heart rate etc. Also, the GPS locks down quickly, but indoors it may take a minute or two.
Apart from all that, the Bip comes with AliPay feature for payments as it doesn't support Google Pay. Also, there is a compass which shows directions, helpful for people who like to go hiking. It also shows accurate details about the weather, and you can get more information about the weather in the app. Amazfit Bip can also keep track of your Sleep shows details like total duration, deep sleep time, light Sleep and more. We were not able to check the deep or light Sleep, but the entire duration measured pretty accurately.
Watch faces can also be changed, and there is a variety of them available. Overall, the impressing performance of the Bip and its accurate fitness tracking abilities are excellent.
Amazfit Bip's amazing Battery Life
Talking about the battery life, the Amazfit Bip comes with a 190 mAh battery which isn't removable. Although it seems quite small on paper, Huami claims that the watch can last for 45 days. However, the actual Number will depend upon usability only. The Number seems hard to achieve, but if you turn OFF the auto Heart rate Monitor and GPS, the watch can last for weeks.
With heavy usage like max brightness all the time, auto Heart rate Monitor turned ON and using GPS frequently, the watch can last above a week, which is impressive. The final Number will depend on the usage of a particular person. It comes with a charging dock which can charge the Bip from the dead to full in around 2.5 hours.
